I went to the David Zwirner Gallery in Chelsea to see the exhibition System and Vision.
The show had a wonderful theme: appropriated art. Regrettably, the work was underwhelming, largely because of
how it was curated. However, it was well worth the trip because Philip-Lorca diCorcia had a show at the gallery, too.
The Yale-educated photographer is best known for his work The Hustlers and a controversial law suit about
photographing in public, which he won. He has been described as, "One of the most influential and innovative
photographers working today." His prints range from $30,000 - $35,000.
This is me dreaming about owning a PLD print.
