They are everywhere.
They come out at night and shut down busy streets.
Protestors demonstrating against a decision to not lay charges against a white NYC police officer (Daniel Panteleo) whose choke-
hold allegedly killed a black man (Eric Garner) who was bootlegging cigarettes. More specifically, Garner was selling single
cigarettes on the street.
This is the second such failure to indite a white police officer in as many weeks and it is amplifying race relations in th US.
The protests I have seen have been vocal but peaceful. The police are maintaining a visible presence.
