Members of the Department of Biological Flow (DBF) made a guest appearance in seminar class.

The DBF is a two-person team of artists who study how people move and occupy space.

They had us bending, twisting and yodelling to intuition-based exercises. The exercises were about

taking risks and allowing yourself to succeed through failure and uncertainty.

Throughout the school year thus far, we have been encouraged to stop trying to exclusively make "good" images

that please people with some "bad" images (soft focus, over exposed, absence of a subject) that challenge people.

The idea is that by letting go of learned ideas and behaviours designed to win approval you connect with your

truest,

highest,

creative self.
