Kirsten - That and "My ankles are killing me."

I recently started wearing running shoes for the "commute" between home and school.

Sometimes I find myself standing and/or walking for a lot longer than expected.

I asked a couple of people if they could recommend a good massage therapist or chiropractor because my neck and back are sore from lugging gear around.

There was this awkward silence before one of them said, "Sure, but no one can afford it."

Mais oui. US health care is still largely for those who can afford it.

You can almost read her mind - she's probably thinking "boy am I ever glad that I stuck that emergency poncho in the corner of my purse today!!
