Oscar drove us up and into the Sierras (Mountains). He introduced us to his friend, Marcos, who is a rancher and a potter. Marcos makes simple but unique casserole dishes, plates, bowls, mugs, even coffee pots, from golf-ball sized clay that he digs up, moistens and shapes by hand. Each piece takes a couple days to complete. Between Alietha and I, we cleaned out his inventory. On the way home, we stopped by a series of small waterfalls and swim pools to cool off.
